Best ways to lose weight

You be pleased to hear that there isn’t really a recognised exercise routine for weight loss, and you’ll be pleasantly surprised at how simple it can be to improve your body shape and tone with effective weight loss tips. This is what makes the good exercise and diet plans stand out, and others that have been published; this is based on established medical principles, whereas some others appear to be not much more than the fad of the moment.

First, we need to clear up these popularly held myths dealing with the best way to lose weight fast and about losing weight through exercise:

Exercise burns fat

Wrong Having said that, if you exercise for extended time periods, it is theoretically possible to bum off fat - but you need to be exercising for very long sessions (which is pretty much impossible for most of us) that is also assuming that, after all that strenuous exercise, you then have the will-power to ignore the ravenous hunger induced by the exercise. There are a select few who can accomplish this, but not many!

There’s No Gain Without Pain

False - and unhealthy too! To be honest this could even be dangerous. If you’re carrying excess weight and you exercise so much that it hurts, you’re asking for trouble. If you’re not exercising on a regular basis, you must look at exercise purely for the purpose of toning up the muscles and improving the circulation. That’s adequate to improve your posture and toning, and actually reduces the risk of a heart attack - even with low impact and relatively easy exercising.

For quick weight loss, you must exercise for a minimum of 60 minutes at a time, at least 3 times each week, for it to be effective

Not the case. I’ll show you some specific exercises that will improve circulation and muscle tone with just a few minutes work each day. Of course, additional aerobic exercise, like walking a few blocks each evening, will only help. I would advise walking 10-15 minutes per day (very simple really simply by getting off the bus one stop earlier or park the car in a more distant car park).

For your exercise to have most impact, it’s easier if you understand a few techy terms. By understanding the purpose of what you are doing - which, once again, is very simple - you are much more able to take full control of your body and health. Always remember, it’s your body, it’s down to you to look after your body, and once you understand how your body works there’s no limits to how healthy you can be. The thought behind exercising the right way is simple, and once you understand the concepts, you will never again be fooled by the self proclaimed experts whose only aim seems to be making a significant proportion of the overweight population feel down because they are unable to exercise like Olympic athletes!
